Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
 
Perform Scheduled, and Unscheduled Maintenance, Repair, Preventative Maintenance, and Installation tasks both on the Facilities, Physical plant equipment, as well as Production equipment, and machinery. Position requires demonstration of competency for all activities that either directly, or indirectly affect product safety, and quality.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 
 

• Adherence to all Company  SOP and OSHA Safety Rules /Policies, and Regulations


• Safety / Environmental inspections (as required)


• Maintain Clean & Organized Work area


• Perform Assigned PM, PdM tasks


• Utilization of predictive maintenance tools (Ultrasonic, Vibration Analysis, Laser Alignment)


• Proactively look for equipment trends, root causes, variances, develop action plans for, and carry out improvements.


• Perform scheduled maintenance on all plant, and production equipment


• Quickly response and correction of Equipment Mechanical & Electrical issues


• Troubleshoot, repair, replace defective/worn equipment parts, control devices, motors, belts, etc.


• Knowledge, and  identification of gearboxes, motors, pulleys, gears


• Knowledge, and identification of Belts, Bearings, Seals


• Troubleshoot Pneumatic systems


• Painting, Carpentry, Sheetrock and Flooring repairs


• Meeting room set-up and teardown (A/V equipment operation , maintenance, repair)


• Facility lighting change-outs (Interior, Exterior)


• In-Depth knowledge of Boilers, Steam related components


• In-Depth Environmental  Control Room systems / operation / control


• In-Depth knowledge of Dust Extraction Systems (PM’s, Repairs)


• Lab Equipment installation, PM’s, Calibration, Repairs


• Solid knowledge and understanding  of PLC & related controls


• High Proficiency at performing  equipment change-overs


• Solid knowledge and understanding of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Protection systems


• Proficiency with Variable Frequency Drives


• Operate Machine Shop equipment, Lathe, Mill, Grinders, Drill Press


• Proficient in use of Welding equipment – Gas/ MIG/TIG


• Read , Interpret Electrical, and Mechanical schematics, drawings


• Dock Levelers’, Dock Locks, Dock Doors (PM’s , Repairs)


• Must be willing to work in a team environment, as a team


• Positive Attitude, Willingness and Desire  to learn


• Grade level  movement dependent  on demonstrated equipment knowledge, tracked  via Maintenance Training Matrix

 

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  Experience:



• 4-8 years’ experience as Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment


• Equivalent training / experience in HVAC, Electrical, Electronics, Welding, Industrial Systems technology program

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED


• HVAC training / Education

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Associates Degree – Industrial Maintenance Technology and/or


• Associates Degree – Electrical / Electronics
