Dura-Line is committed to Advancing the World together! We are currently hiring for TWO enthusiastic & ambitious Plant Trainers to lead & standardize necessary training processes for our Sandersville, GA & Elyria, OH manufacturing sites. You will utilize your professional training and development skills to implement effective training material such as standard work, videos for on-the-job training, testing assessments, and create a centralized checklist to document training verification.
In this NEW role, you will be responsible for designing, standardizing, and maintaining the overall training program at your site to improve employee workplace performance and ensure it align with our company's core principles. To build credibility and hit the ground running, you will need a minimum of 5 years of hands on experience as a trainer in industries such as manufacturing, automotive, production, or assembly environment.
Collaboration skills are key to developing an optimal training process! Weekly meetings with production supervisors will be conducted to review trainee progress reports to identify training effectiveness. You will be responsible for developing trainees into qualified associates following company procedures while effectively communicating and helping solve any complex training issues or roadblocks with the leadership team.
Must have hands on experience using different training methods such as lectures, 1:1 hands-on training, videos, demonstrations, job shadow, and others to help employees. Adaptability and flexibility will be beneficial in determining the best methods to change to different employee training styles with different personalities, background, and experience level. If you have experience in formal classroom-style training along with employee coaching and development experience, this role is for YOU!
Great organizational skills will be critical in this role! You will be responsible for maintaining training documents, qualification records, logs, skills, certifications, and metrics for the plant to ensure compliance with the requirements. You will develop a centralized training database of all training materials (assessments, work instructions, standard operating procedures, training presentations, etc.) necessary for employee development and conduct periodic audits of processes, training systems, and provides feedback to participants and management.
