The Opportunity

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is responsible for company's financial planning, forecasting and delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting financial and operational metrics that assist in insightful, accurate business decision-making. The FP&A team is responsible for overseeing a global financial planning organization that has a comprehensive understanding of all key business drivers and sophisticated financial models that enable the team to deliver insightful, value-added analysis across the company.

Marvell is looking for a high energy Senior Finance analyst to support the CIO Organization as part of a growing Operations Finance team. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about providing financial planning and analysis support to our global IT Services & Infrastructure team. This is a high visibility, impactful role where you will partner with the IT Management team to drive accurate financial forecasting, operational efficiency and influence key projects, priorities and decisions with analysis and insight.

In this role you will lead the operating and capital expenditure Budgeting and Headcount management for the IT organization.


  • Be a Finance partner to the IT Management team

  • Prepare, report, and support the annual /quarterly operating & capital expense plan budgeting and long range planning process, setting targets at staff level and major categories

  • Lead and drive the monthly/quarterly Close, Outlook and reporting process, variance analysis

  • Provide insights into trends, scorecards and key IT metrics; identify gaps, propose productivity improvements, cost savings plans and alternative solutions

  • Collaborate/assist IT partners to determine priorities, propose change and enhance function's contribution to the company

  • Monitor/Provide visibility to key IT Projects & Capex; work closely with Accounting and Biz partners to continuously improve policies, procedures & processes

  • Develop and improve upon existing financial planning and forecast processes; engage, collaborate, align with Corp FP&A

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and assist on special projects, participate in cross functional projects


  • 5-7 years of experience in high growth technology company with F P & A, Corporate Finance or Accounting


  • Demonstrated experience managing an Operational/Capital Expense, Budgeting skills with Business Partnering experience preferred


  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA, Masters or equivalent degree recommended


  • Passion for data, reporting & systems


  • Exceptional analytical skills with demonstrated advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills


  • High energy and attention to detail, problem solving approach and ability to deliver results


  • Proven ability to work independently and manage day to day priorities and projects


  • Strong communication, critical thinking, collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with various organizations at all levels
