Senior Life Underwriter (Open to Remote Locations)

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Appraise and underwrite individual life applications to assess mortality risk within company guidelines


• Underwriting authority limit up to $3M


• Strong relationship skills with distribution partners and key accounts


• Achieve strong service results:  quality, productivity and cycle time


• Mentoring/development of less experienced underwriters

Qualifications include:

• Minimum of 3-5 years individual life underwriting experience


• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experiences/Bachelor's degree preferred


• Professional designation preferred, or significant progress towards i.e. LOMA/ALU course completion


• Exposure to Accelerated Underwriting Models preferred but not required


• Advanced technical underwriting knowledge and risk assessment


• Strong talent mindset


• Excellent negotiating and decision-making skills


• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• Strong collaboration skills

Salary range specific to Colorado: $74,100-100,300 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
