Job Description:

Market Growth 

The Market Expansion Manager (MEM) for KAR Global Sales will be responsible for acquiring new selling dealerships, effectively onboarding dealers, and delivering market growth. This team member manages the creation and execution of sell-side strategies within their market and is also be responsible for driving new market launches.   

How You Will Drive Results: 

Acquire 


  • Focus on new business development by performing market & customer prospecting while developing strategic, targeted sales campaigns that build strong customer relationships.  


  • Nurture customer relationships by fact-finding, follow up and identifying customers’ needs.  


  • Understand dealers current state process for diversification of wholesale inventory.  


  • Ability to present and perform demonstration of our solution/platform.  


  • Track daily, weekly, monthly call activity and performance measurements against goals and sales targets using CRM software. 


  • Understand your local market landscape and market competition while keeping a keen awareness of any changes happening holistically within the automotive industry.  

Activate 


  • Onboard and train new customers. 


  • Set best practices with customers to ensure dealer's success in the usage of our solution.  


  • Facilitate introduction and ongoing customer relationship ownership to Market Performance Manager. 


  • Partner with Market Performance Manager(s) to retain and grow customer utilization of KAR solutions. 

 

Keys to Success: 


  • 3-5+ years’ experience in outside sales development or business development; Exposure to technology vendors, start-ups, or SaaS-based environments preferred. 


  • High school degree required; college degree preferred.  



  • Experience with the automotive sales industry or auto sales would be considered a definite asset.  


  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills, results driven.  


  • Demonstrable knowledge of CRM tools/software and best practices.  


  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively in market, roughly 75% of the time. 


  • Qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possesses a valid driver’s license.
