Job Description:

Market Retention and Growth 

 

The Market Performance Manager (MPM) for KAR Global Sales will be responsible for managing the retention and growth of dealer engagement on the sell-side within their market.  The MPM is also responsible for active participation in new market launches.   

How You Will Drive Results: 

Customer Retention 


  • Assume client relationship ownership at activation's stage. 


  • Actively participate in client onboarding and training. 


  • Service accounts through regular in person visits, phone calls, and monthly account performance reviews to upsell and generate increase in volumes of cars going to KAR Global.


  • Partner with ADESA auction sites on run lists, titles, service, etc., as appropriate. 


  • Serve as go-to problem solver for dealer clients. 


  • Retain existing seller business in assigned Territory. 


  • Work daily with existing sellers to finalize pending deals.


Market Growth 


  • Provide product expertise on KAR Global offerings to onboard customers, provide technical support and grow accounts to drive to a seamless end-to-end KAR solution. 


  • Counsel dealers on inventory solutions including floor pricing, market days' supply, etc. 


  • Partner with Market General Manager(s) to retain and grow customer utilization of KAR solutions. 


 

Keys to Success: 


  • 3-5+ years’ experience in outside sales development or business development; Exposure to technology vendors, start-ups, or SaaS-based environments preferred. 


  • High school degree required; college degree preferred.  


  • Experience with the automotive sales industry or auto sales would be considered a definite asset.  


  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills, results driven.  


  • Demonstrable knowledge of CRM tools/software and best practices.  


  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively in market, roughly 40% of the time. 


  • Qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possesses a valid driver’s license.
