Job Description:

UPS SCS Security is currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Security Investigator. The UPS Security function is responsible for protecting the assets and employees of UPS. Security interacts with all levels of law enforcement to ensure strong cooperation and mutual protection of UPS and its assets. This function provides leadership and direction in regards to protecting our customers’ shipments from loss. Security also works with various governmental agencies related to legislation and regulations to ensure UPS’s interests are represented. Corporate Security uses a shared services approach implementation and use of technology for protection, interdiction, investigations, and the reduction of unethical and illegal activities. 

The SCS Security Investigator conducts security investigations within UPS Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) and subsidiaries for multiple districts and protects UPS's assets and reputation, mitigates risks and claims, and ensures regulatory and company security compliance. This position provides security administration, guidance and training, and performs security audits. He/She develops and manages security projects and maintains physical security. The SCS Security Investigator identifies, develops, and maintains extensive internal and external relationships and information sources to facilitate security initiatives, objectives, and awareness.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conducts security investigations
• Performs security audits and maintains regulatory compliance
• Establishes key relationships and promotes security objectives
• Administers Security programs and maintains physical security

Knowledge and Skills

• Impeccable integrity, with ability to maintain confidentiality of PII (Personal Identification information) on employees
• Ability to build relationships both internally and with external agencies (local, state, federal)
• Ability to work autonomously 
• Availability to travel on a moments’ notice
• Ability to present to all levels including Senior Management and customers/clients 
• Innate investigative mindset
• Ability to decipher complex reports (e.g., financial, billing, alarms, shipping records, customer contracts, personnel, etc.)
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance (if needed) 
• Ability to understand and control Sensitive Security Information 
• SCS business, security, internal audit, and/or finance & accounting experience - Preferred
