POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Site Coordinator provides IT application support, service delivery, daily administration for users, servers, computers and associated networks. Works independently to install and troubleshoot service requests for applications and computers. Serves as both the implementation lead and Level 1 technical lead for all technologies and services delivered to the user. Assist in troubleshooting of issues related to networking equipment, servers, PC hardware, telephones, cabling and connectors. Follows corporate direction for standards, polices, and security management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Maintains full compliance of all corporate network Standards and SOPs, as well as all SOX and FDA Part 11 guidelines.
  • Administers workstations and associated network connectivity.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains personal computers, servers, ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices and systems.
  • Monitors and administers the network, keeping system information up-to-date in a network log.
  • Establishes and maintains network user accounts, user environments, directories, and security.
  • Responds to the needs of the users concerning access to resources on the network.
  • Investigates user problems, identifies the source, determines and implements the solution.
  • Remains abreast of changes in system software and hardware requirements.
  • Updates server, desktop/laptop operating systems as required.
  • Manages memory usage of network servers, printers, and technical resources.
  • Manages and maintains system backups of critical and key network resources.
  • Periodically performs a network analysis to determine network usage, bandwidth, packet loss, and overall network performance.
  • Actively participates in the establishment of Dentsply Sirona network policies and standards that will be applied to all LANs and WANs within the Dentsply Sirona infrastructure.
  • Regularly reviews technical notices and security alerts.
  • Installs software applications and software updates as required.

  • Maintains the Help Desk queue for PC and networking issues
  • Reviews and implements lifecycle management of servers, workstations, key network systems, and associated hardware to insure maximum performance.

  • Analyzes help desk requests for recurrent problems and potential areas for improvement.
  • Analyzes help desk requests to determine the need for user training.
  • Maintains work instructions and troubleshooting documentation for the Help Desk system.
  • Ensures Anti-virus software is installed on all user workstations and is up to date.
  • Reviews current and future software and hardware technologies and presents recommendations to IT Management.

  • Reviews software application licensing and ensures all licensing agreements are followed.
  • Maintains and resolves issues related to all supported software.
  • Installs and configures printers.
  • Provides level I support for PC, LAN and WAN issues.
  • May be required to administer and troubleshoot the local phone system and any related hardware.
  • Administers, troubleshoots, and assists with Video Conference Systems.
  • Educates and trains associates on Dentsply Sirona applications and systems.
  • May be required to complete other duties as assigned by manager.

TYPICAL BACKGROUND


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or a related field.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or an equivalent combination or training and experience is preferred.
  • A+ certification a plus.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience maintaining computerized equipment in a LAN environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the TCP/IP networking protocol.
  • Must possess the ability to perform calculations for operations such as creating subnets, networking bandwidth usage and network utilization.
  • Skilled in Windows Active Directory Security, Group Policies, Directory Services and profiles.
  • Skilled in remote administration of servers and computer systems.
  • Ability to operate a computer system
  • Strong knowledge of basic and technical terms as they relate to PC's, servers, networking, and LAN/WAN environments and the ability to apply these skills successfully.
  • Strong technical and educational documentation creation skills
