Your Responsibilities

**This position is currently eligible for a telework and/or a compressed workweek arrangement. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes. This arrangement is subject to change.**

As a Cloud Senior Infrastructure Engineer forJohn Deere, located in Ames, Iowa, you will leverage your deep infrastructure knowledge to build and deliver the John Deere AWS and Azure Cloud Platform through infrastructure automation. In this position, you will:

• Operate within an Agile team and participates in all aspects of that team's work
• Work within established guidelines such as coding standards, workflow, or tool standards
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to other team members
• Work with junior members of the team by pairing, coaching and review
• Provide input into the product development strategy and roadmaps

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

• 10+ years of experience developing and managing application development environments, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities
• 7+ years of experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment
• 5+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code, automation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• 5+ years of experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
• 5+ years of experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure platform technologies
• Proven track record of strong delivery
• Associate level or higher AWS certification

Interpersonal, Leadership & Teaming Competencies

• Experience communicating technical decisions and their rationales to clients and development teams
• Highly collaborative and ability to resolve conflict through influence without authority
• Advanced communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical design concepts and patterns
• Passionate, innovative and have the desire to learn new complex technical areas
• Experience working with cloud database and complex environments requiring high performance and scalability

Education (or equivalent work experience)

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent discipline preferred
