Title: Product Owner, Edge, Greenville/Thibodaux- 72334

As a Product Owner within Edge Operations, you represent the voice of the customer to the product team with a deep understanding of customer's product needs and what technology-based capabilities are required to meet those needs. In this role, you will maintain and prioritize the product backlog to ensure that the team is working on features that maximize business value and deliver necessary functionality to their customers. In addition, you will;


  • Collaborate with the business, Engineering Managers and product teams, to define product functionality and priorities
  • Use global processes to thoroughly understand the scope, complexity and dependencies of the business and what product functionality is needed
  • Communicate with the Product Manager to ensure alignment across products within a product family
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to decommission. This level typically has responsibility for up to 2 scrum teams
  • Perform Scrum Master activities such as identifying, tracking, removing, and escalating impediments to enable team success toward the sprint commitments.
  • Facilitates process to decide which stories will be included in each sprint through understanding team's velocity and story scope and size. Helps team members prioritize order of user stories they will execute against the product commitments.
  • Assists with resource allocation and effective capacity planning for team to determine what team can take on in any given sprint.
  • Facilitates and/or supports Agile framework ceremonies for Scrum teams.

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences


  • 1 or more years of experience working in industry / business functional area
  • 1 or more years of working on major business/technology implementation programs
  • 1 or more years of experience in a product strategy role or requirements intake role; additional business or technical training may be required
  • Strong understanding of technical terms, processes, and practices of products within scope
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies/tools and experience writing features and user stories, s trong commitment to demonstrating an agile growth mindset
  • Recognized Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master
  • Ability to use analysis to prioritize business value
  • Subject matter expertise with appropriate business processes
  • Consumer/customer understanding and ability to implement product roadmap in support of business strategy

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies


  • 1 or more years of experience managing a team
  • Proven communication skills; highly credible with consumer/customers; proven customer focus, empathy and design thinking
  • Highly collaborative and ability to influence without authority; proven ability to develop productive working relationships with both technical and non-technical partners, proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder views, opinions and needs

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
