Job Description:

Training and Quality Assurance Coordinator sought to join our Training team at Community Solutions, Inc. In this role you will promote and deliver professional development and continuous program improvement for Community Solutions and their external customers.  You will identify project and department inefficiencies and develop strategies for improvement.  You will research, develop and implement training programs and new curricula for internal and external initiatives.  On a regular basis you will conduct quality assurance tape review and provide strength-based coaching and feedback.

(CSI) is a nonprofit organization that promotes the responsible citizenship, accountability, and well-being of individuals and families involved, or at risk of involvement, in the child welfare, juvenile justice, or criminal justice system. Since CSI’s founding in 1962, it has been a pioneer in the community-based service. We have been delivering supervision, treatment, and comprehensive individualized services to help clients interact more effectively in their communities and become productive citizens. Using this plan we built the first ever halfway house in New England which has now been replicated and grown to almost 50 programs in 10 states. For over 50 years, CSI has been building upon its successful foundations and has been expanding its services to serve thousands of adults, youth, and families each year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to:


  • Ongoing evaluation of CSI staff training needs across departments and in programs.

  • Develop and implement new streamlined processes and procedures throughout the training department.

  • Provide on-site and virtual observations and coaching.

  • Identify new training needs, research best practices, and develop associated curriculum.

  • Contribute to developing and maintaining a virtual and web-based training library (internal).

  • Create, prepare and conduct in-service training courses for all CSI training tracks, including orientation, and basic and advanced-level courses.  Ensure that all contract requirements are met, based on program requirements

  • Prepare and conduct quality assurance activities including tape review, strength based and accurate coaching/feedback sessions, research, informational meetings, written and statistical reports, for CSI staff and customers

  • Research and develop training curricula, quality assurance advances and resources to meet the needs of CSI’s organizational and annual plan goals.

  • Facilitate onsite training and on-the-job-training to enhance program quality.

  • Monitor and evaluate training courses, instructors and quality assurance material to ensure a high quality of service.

  • Update and manage the information required for the training database, including training records, quality assurance records, and updating videos, and for agency staff

  • Develop and facilitate innovative conference presentations on CSI training and quality assurance initiatives.

  • Assist in preparing RFP’s for programs, training and quality assurance.


  • Masters degree in a social science/human resources/education field preferred.

  • Two years of technical experience with in-service training and/or evidence-based quality assurance.

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships.

  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively utilize a strength-based, solution-focused approach.

  • Ability to deliver effective adult education methods and techniques.

  • Creative, "out of the box" thinking.

  • Knowledge of quality assurance techniques and skills

  • Technically savvy with Microsoft Office, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and video platforms

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Regular travel required to various locations for presenting training, some out of state travel may be required.
