PPG Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager at our Huntsville, AL site! If you are passionate about quality and team leadership, then this may be an opportunity for you!

As the Quality Assurance Manager , you will lead aspects of the process quality organization, encompassing planning, staffing, leadership, technical guidance to maintain an effective, cost-efficient quality system and a safe working environment, which meet PPG Huntsville priorities.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise various quality personnel supporting customer inspections, receiving inspections and other areas of quality.
• Maintain a leadership role in representing PPG Huntsville and the quality organization within PPG Aerospace.
• In collaboration with leadership and peers, define and implement changes in quality processes and organization, industry standards and regulatory guidance when appropriate.
• Lead a culture of continuous improvement in procedures, processes and customer satisfaction to improve cost, schedule and quality of processes.
• Lead quality team who coordinate with all customers and DCMA throughout their process and product surveillance activities.
• Lead receiving inspection personnel to manage the inspection of all incoming materials and components.
• Other duties assigned as required to adapt to organizational needs.

• This position requires a bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of quality control experience within an aerospace or similar production environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
• Ability to connect and communicate with internal and external customers at a high level
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) accreditation would be a plus
• Previous Experience with LEAN Manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodology, certification preferred.
• Quality Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing
• APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Controls Plan Experience
• Configuration Management Experience is a plus
• Previous Quality Supervisory/Management experience
• Previous experience coordinating customer product presentations is a plus
• Experience coordinating receiving inspection and working with Supply Chain is a plus
• Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9102 preferred.
