French Speaking Customer Service Representative at PPG INDUSTRIES INC

Job Description:

As a Customer Service Representative, you will provide order management support for customers, ensuring orders are processed in an efficient and accurate manner! You will ensure timely customer follow-up in resolving order discrepancies and ensuring all special customer requirements are met to the happiness of the customer. As a French-speaking Customer Service Representative, you will support Refinish customers in the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities :


  • Sourcing of Products - works with distribution to coordinate shipment of material to customers
  • Customer Service - Provide support to internal and external customers. Customers, sales force, marketing, Production, Inventory Control, shippers, Warehouses, Customs brokers, Product management, transportation
  • Handles Shipping Discrepancies- Short/Overs
  • Handles the Customer Returns process - The entire return process, from data entry, Customs paperwork, brokerage, arranging with customers & arranging the transportation to the Lima warehouse
  • Projects - assignment to support customer service process improvements as assigned by supervisor, i.e. procedures, studies
  • E-tools - Provide customers with assistance in registering, accessing, and navigating through our electronic customer facing tools, including on-line ordering, on-line color look up, and web sites
  • Database Maintenance - Continuously update data to reflect the latest shop and distributor information. Assists in maintaining the quality and integrity of unique customer information within the customer knowledge database; Logs incoming/outgoing customer calls within the PPG Customer Relationship Management Database

Qualifications :


  • Minimum 3 years work experience, preferably in customer service demonstrating responsibility for order management or customer advocacy
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Fluency in French (reading, writing, speaking) is required.
  • Customer Service/Call Center experience
