The Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for achieving immediate and short-term maintenance objectives as provided by management. In addition, supervisor directs a team of technicians daily work tasks, ensuring operational objectives are met.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Mentor and motivate employees, providing training and professional development, optimizing performance and personal growth
Ensure compliance with Company, QA, HACCP, Safety, GMP, sanitation, etc. regulations, policies and procedures
Assign work orders, ensuring repairs are completed to satisfaction in a timely manner
Perform lock out/tag out certifications on equipment
Communicate performance standards with team members, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments while counseling performance issues
Facilitate employee meetings and training
Supervise and maintain appropriate documentation
Perform required safety checks
All other relevant duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Degree or Technical Certification preferred
3+ years supervisory experience, preferably within food manufacturing environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient technology, computer and analytical skills
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Able to work weekends as needed
Physical/Environmental Factors:
Stand and walk on concrete majority of shift
Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl, twist, bend and lift various weights as needed
Occasionally climb ladders, steep inclines, and enter confined spaces
Occasionally lift up to 70 lbs
Occasional exposure to hazardous, and unhygienic conditions
Exposure to cold, humid environment with temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees
Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels
Exposure to strong odors, including ammonia
Exposure to slippery and wet conditions
