Position Summary

The position will be based at our Boeing Field site located in Seattle, WA. The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Maintenance Operations Manager to support the supervision of all activities, maintenance programs, inspections, analytics, projections, coordination, and project management for the aircraft residing at this location.

Responsibilities


  • Serve as an active member of the Clay Lacy Team, its vision, mission, and values.

  • Support the development and implement policies and procedures to optimize the maintenance in support of the GMM and Clay Lacy Aviation as a whole.

  • Effectively works with the DOM, Aircraft Controllers. Aircraft Management Team and Quality Assurance Inspector to efficiently execute the aircraft work scope and communicates effectively with customers as required.

  • Support the DOM in their activities to effectively provide the Aircraft Management Team with a 24-month projection, updated monthly, inclusive of downtime, estimated costs (man-hours), and coordination.

  • Collaborates with the DOM, assigned Controller or Aircraft Maintenance Manager for Work Order Squawk Form approval.

  • In the absence of the DOM, performs as acting DOM to carry out delegated duties and responsibilities.

  • Assigns and oversees work performed by supporting maintenance technicians, QC, and support shop technicians to perform the tasks required by the work scope and monitors performance to plan.

  • Supervises daily activities to ensure maximum efficiency and takes necessary action to ensure that all work is completed within schedule and estimated labor and material costs.

  • Work productively with the aircraft crewmembers to support their missions and expectations from the owner.

  • Shall be present at all aircraft arrivals and departures within reason.

  • Maintains and adjusts the workflow provided for proper decision-making on maintenance-related resources.

  • Shall complete light and moderate work on aircraft. In addition, coordinate the moderate and heavy maintenance inefficient intervals by active scheduling with the owner schedule, crew, Aircraft Management Team, and CLA Maintenance.

  • Manages aircraft downtime and schedule to ensure timely delivery of a quality product.

  • Collaborates and cooperates with the assigned QA Inspector to achieve aircraft approval for return to service.

  • Become familiar with and improve vendor/supplier relationships, contracts, and support services.

  • Ensures that aircraft maintenance paperwork and forms are completed in accordance with methods of execution outlined in Clay Lacy Repair Station Manual.

  • Establishes and maintains accurate record keeping as required by the FAR’s, manufacturers, and company policies.

  • Ensures high levels of customer service are provided to the company and its customers.

  • Anticipates client and crew needs in order to continually improve the level of support and service.

  • As necessary and under the guidance of the DOM, represent the company in aviation matters through trade associations, the FAA, state or municipal aviation bodies, airport management, community organizations, and contract agencies.

  • Attends customer debrief meeting for all aircraft assigned.

  • Establishes severe weather/natural disaster procedures to protect personnel, aircraft, and facilities. Procedures should address plans for (but not be limited to) situations involving hurricanes, tornados, high winds, snow, and hail.

  • Acts as the supporting resident expert on matters related to all aspects of safety.

  • Identifies and reports safety hazards utilizing CLA’s SMS program to identify and mitigate risk.

  • Supports the efforts of a continuous safety program in the operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, housekeeping, and hazardous materials.

  • Observes and administers company rules and regulations and safety policy and standard operating procedures.

  • Where necessary, acts as liaison with safety organizations (formal and informal) on matters of industry safety concerns.

  • Ensures crews follow adequate safety precautions and procedures, inspect equipment to ensure it meets company safety and OSHA standards.

  • Ensures crews maintain good housekeeping practices, takes immediate action to maintain a clean safe environment.

  • Supports the establishment of an environment where comments, concerns, and suggestions by personnel are escalated, reviewed, and shared with the aircraft management team.

  • Supports the effort and maintenance of high morale through an awareness of the company and department policies, participation of employee development programs, and periodic department meetings for the two-way communication of ideas, goals, and objectives.

  • Needs to be available to work different shifts and weekends as requested.

  • Able to travel away from the primary facility for training and work.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the DOM and Maintenance Operations Manager.

Experience, Education, and Requirements


  • Must possess and maintain a current and valid US-issued FAA A&P Certificate.

  • Corporate aircraft maintenance experience is a must.

  • Possess a minimum of 7 years of A&P-related duties with experience in maintaining Bombardier aircraft.

  • College degree strongly preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to exercise and maintain exceptional maintenance and subscription record-keeping skills and best practices.

  • Bombardier Challenger platform training or experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience and exposure to floating aircraft maintenance desirable.

  • Heavy maintenance and teardown experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in managing or working as a liaison with contractors and OEM representatives, third-party maintenance support organizations, and industry-related vendors.

  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of industry aircraft maintenance tracking and ordering systems as well as standard office software such as MS Office Suite.

  • Comply with all Federal Aviation regulations, company operations manual, operations specifications, standard operating procedures, and company policies & procedures.

  • Must be able to pass DOT/FAA drug screening, background checks and submit to random drug/alcohol tests when required.

Physical Requirements

Requires sitting, standing, bending, and reaching. May require lifting of up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, calculators, telephone, and other office equipment; and conduct repairs and troubleshooting on aircraft.
