Role Overview
This position will own all operational aspects of customer incentive programs to drive smooth implementation and execution of programs and act as consultant to the business units providing solution to incentive challenges and influencing the program design to ensure that Elanco direct and indirect customers are paid timely and within high standards of accuracy.
Day to day responsibilities
Lead consulting discussion with business units and influence key stakeholders within the organizations to achieve an incentive program design that can be operationalized under existing capabilities while meeting business expectations
Build and manage the relationship with multiple distributors responsible for implementing Elanco programs to ensure great experience from Elanco customers when buying through different channels
Drive solution and provide continuous improvement of incentive programs across multiple business organizations while leveraging deep expertise on the company’s rebate framework and knowledge of Elanco businesses, customers and channels
Anticipate rebate issues and determine appropriate processes to execute on each program guidelines considering current capabilities and resources, and implement actions to bridge gaps
Set up and administer incentive programs in the Vistex pricing platform ensuring all aspects of the rebate execution are addressed for a flawless payment
Ensure prioritization and timely execution of rebate payments with high level standards of accuracy and compliance with program rules
Trigger rebate payments requests, validation and approvals when applicable, and support the business organizations during accrual review cycles
Lead large and complex rebate programs from the design to the payment spanning over several thousands of customers
Address reconciliation issues between calculated and claimed rebates with program owners
Drive SOX compliance at rebate execution level and establish process to monitor and address non-conformities and exception requests with stakeholders
Manage supplier relationship and service levels from vendors responsible for settling rebate payments, including cost, purchase orders and periodic business reviews
Ensure adequate process documentation and training materials are developed and maintained
Establish, monitor, and report rebate metrics and KPIs to measure service levels and operational effectiveness
Lead a team of individuals responsible for executing payments of incentive programs, providing guidance and supporting the team on issue resolution
Liaison with Elanco Solution Center to provide consultancy on execution of rebate payments and stand up of new processes, execute knowledge transfer and act as an escalation point
Represent the rebates group in IT projects to help determine scope, detail functional requirements, test and implement systems that meet business requirements
Interact and support internal and external auditors, and lead the implementation of action plans where audit procedures identify areas of potential risk or control weakness
Required skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, IT or Economics
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Finance, Sales, Marketing or Commercial Operations
Advanced MS-Excel knowledge (macros, pivot tables, and formulas)
Previous experience with SAP and deep knowledge of sales and customer master data, including customer/product hierarchies
Experience with incentive programs and rebates platforms such as Vistex and Model-N

Experience with Salesforce/Veeva Network and reporting tool such as Tableau
Knowledge on MS Power Platform to maintain collaborative sites (Sharepoint, PowerApps)
Familiarity with human pharmaceutical or animal health businesses
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to influence stakeholders and lead without authority
Aptitude to lead large meetings and present ideas in a clear and concise fashion
Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable working with senior leadership team
Problem solving skills with ability to conduct root-cause analysis and draw conclusions
Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to make process decisions without supervision
Experience in leading project work streams and implementing tactics across departments
Demonstrated capacity of owning complex issues and commitment to solution and execution
