The Wholesale Payments Operations organization and core functions achieve service excellence through Client Focus, Technology solutions and Work force innovation. We are currently seeking a Sanctions Manager for Global Sanctions Operations located in Tampa, Florida who will be working within the Wholesale Payments Sanctions Utility. Our role is to assist Sanctions Compliance in the fight against money laundering, fraud, corruption and terrorist financing.
Develop, lead and maintain a high performing team with a focus on quality and ongoing staff development within the Transaction Screening Bankwide Utility
Assess trends from quality assurance and provide coaching to team leads and staff and where necessary support additional training as needed
Interact with internal and external auditors and compliance leaders, as well as business leaders
Monitor regulatory activities and industry developments to identify trends and emerging issues that may impact the decisioning of sanctions alerts
Drive process improvement/innovative change throughout the Sanctions program by developing and implementing leading edge, transformative ideas for automation
Coordinate and conduct testing of sanctions-related controls and recommend changes and/or escalate issues as appropriate
Manage team engaged in the review of payments, report gathering, and OFAC/other sanctions screened through an automated tool
Assess impact of client on-boarding to Sanctions Operations including capacity planning and other pre-implementation tasks to ensure smooth client experience
Conduct various sanctions control tests as appropriate and escalate/provide recommended ways to enhance or change existing controls or where new controls may be appropriate
Support with special projects requiring Sanctions subject matter expertise
Support staff in researching potential sanctions matches and escalations to Global Sanctions Compliance
Oversee documentation for Audit, regulatory and supervisory reviews, and maintain departmental procedures
Lead Manager Excellence capabilities across all levels of staffing to Drive Results, Enable the Team, Lead Inclusively, and Grow Talent
Support skip level/one on one meetings which provide an opportunity to collaborate with staff and obtain feedback on the alert review/escalation process
