The Finance Data & Insights Team is an agile product team responsible for the development, production, and transformation of Financial data and reporting across CCB. Our vision is to improve the lives of our people and increase value to the firm by leveraging the power of our data and the best tools to analyze data, generate insights, save time, improve processes & control, and lead the organization in developing skills of the future. Our overall product objectives include: 1) constructing a data environment that enables cross-business, customer-centric decision making and reporting needs across CCB in a consistent framework; 2) creating an ecosystem of dashboards, sourced from authoritative data sources, to replace all manual management reporting and to allow our employees to focus on generating actionable insights; 3) eliminating user tools, saving time, and increasing ability to generate insights through data, dashboards, and developing new capabilities.

Role Description - Finance Data & Insights - Consumer & Business Banking Data Lead

The Consumer & Business Banking Finance Data Lead is a senior role responsible for leading the development of financial and analytical reporting systems. This position will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for all new financial systems development and coordinate the delivery of projects across the data warehousing infrastructure. The candidate must have a technical IT background with strong project management skills and finance experience. The role will support all strategic reporting initiatives impacting the Consumer & Business Banking line of business. Projects will include MIS infrastructure enhancements, reporting initiatives, and business integrations. The candidate must possess excellent relationship management skills and have the ability to work across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities


  • Work collaboratively with senior management and IT staff to develop reporting and business intelligence strategy
  • Lead new projects and ongoing maintenance of the Consumer & Business Banking Finance MIS infrastructure
  • Provide leadership and guidance on the development of the financial data warehouse
  • Prioritize development activities to maximize the value delivered by the team
  • Manage and run the MIS infrastructure on a daily and monthly basis to support financial reporting
  • Develop process improvement strategies aimed at improving the overall efficiency of the financial reporting and analytics environment
  • Lead a diverse team consisting of financial, technical, and management staff
  • Role requires close partnership with senior level IT, risk, and finance staff

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Financial systems discipline
  • 10+ years of financial solutions architecture, software development and project management experience
  • Hyperion Essbase cube design and administration experience preferred
  • Oracle SQL query language, Unix, and data warehousing experience a plus
  • Tableau and Alteryx experience a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with track record of driving results through cross-functional organization
  • Proven experience managing a group of employees with IT, finance, and project management backgrounds
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines
  • Highly motivated, self directed
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including strong Excel and VBA skills
