Job Description:

Firmwide Risk Reporting and Middle Office (RRMO), a group within Corporate Risk Management, produces internal and external reporting and analysis used to manage risk through changing market conditions, support regulatory requirements regarding Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting, and execute controls to measure the quality of risk data.

The Single Name Position Risk Reporting team (SNPR), within RRMO, reports on issuer default exposure for the Firm and LOB segments. The team's primary work activities include producing various risk reporting packages which are used by senior risk managers of business segments and the Firm to monitor risk profiles.

Position Description

The position is on a team of five who are collectively responsible for reporting issuer default exposure risk to Market Risk managers and senior management on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis. The team also manages the quality of reported data and coordinates ongoing efforts to improve data quality. The successful candidate will be relied upon to produce risk reports on a regular basis, identify and resolve data quality issues, conduct testing of the new reporting application and infrastructure.

As an analyst within SNPR, you will be involved in a variety of activities cross the SNPR team.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:


  • Analyze Issuer default exposure risk results and produce firmwide limit usage summary reports on a regular basis
  • Participate in the limit breaches management process: validate, escalate, and facilitate the resolution of firmwide and LOB limit breaches
  • Manage workflow tasks, queries, and issues using various systems (i.e. OTM, GIM, ICRD, ARC, RBRM, Workflow, etc.)
  • Lead and/or participate to cross-functional projects to support the implementation of new business logics, resolution of data quality issues, onboarding of new risk measures, and creation of new reports
  • Manage relationship with internal clients, anticipate needs, take feedback and run conference calls
  • Take responsibility for the quality of work submitted and ensure that the highest standards are maintained
  • Identify/ Implement robust quality assurance checks and controls through the reporting processes
  • Anticipate and understand issues and escalate appropriately for timely resolution
  • Maintain effective and ensure adherence to service level agreements, operational procedures, internal metrics, and firmwide policies

Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree preferably in Finance / Business
  • Minimum of 0-3 years experience in financial industry or operations
  • Experience in CIB Markets Middle Office and operations a plus
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical and organized
  • Behavioral skills, leadership, problem solving and time management
  • Ability to work and solve problems independently, and be able to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Very proficient and experienced in Microsoft Excel including using advanced formulas, creating pivot tables and proficiency in other Microsoft products including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong control and quality management skills; accuracy and attention to detail is vital
  • Assertive and self-confident, comfortable when interacting with senior management
  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with large amounts of data
