Job Description:

The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (OAFA) seeks an Admissions Service Center Specialist to help create an outstanding and welcoming customer experience by assisting with customer generated questions and concerns. This position represents the University to a variety of audiences including students, families, high school and college counselors, and community based organizations. The Admissions Service Center Specialist will be a member of the Admissions Service Center. They must be friendly, organized and hardworking. The incumbent also will interact with various levels within and outside of the University providing information and guiding them in the admissions process. High-quality customer service is a requirement. Some evenings and weekends may be required with advanced notice to provide exceptional service. The Admissions Service Center Specialist will be responsible for answering incoming calls to the Office and Admissions and monitoring live agent chat. Call and chat requests encompass a wide variety of topics including but not limited to undergraduate application process and status, the admissions process and procedures, and general University knowledge. In addition, they will be monitoring, creating, and responding to student and parent cases via our Case Management system, and inputting contact data into the ERM system, Salesforce. Mastery of several software systems in addition to Salesforce include PeopleSoft student information system and Perceptive Content imaging software. During each recruitment cycle, this responsibility requires that the Admissions Service Specialist be able to interpret the admission criteria and shape the message to the individual student or group. This employee will also be a member of Admissions Committee and will evaluate credentials and make admissions decisions of student applications for undergraduate admission.The successful candidate will be experienced in high-quality customer service, incredibly detail-oriented, able to work independently, organized, capable of managing multiple concurrent projects on different timelines, and with a collaborative focus.
