Job Description:

Wagner Equipment Co., the Caterpillar Dealership for Colorado, New Mexico, and far west Texas is seeking applications for a Human Resources Generalist in Aurora, CO.


The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Staff and organization in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.” The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas including staffing, administering employee records, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Must be thoroughly familiar with equal employment opportunity regulations and the organization's affirmative action program, highly detail-oriented, and have strong interpersonal skills to administer various HR initiatives for internal and external personnel.


Essential Functions:

  • Assists with the on-boarding process of new hires, to include background checks and reference checking

  • Supports recruiting efforts at Wagner and assists as needed

  • Maintains accurate I-9 information for compliance to be audit ready; E-Verify experience a plus

  • Maintains confidential employee records

  • Supports the Executive area as needed

  • Prepares and edits letters, emails, reports, and memos

  • Arranges meetings, appointments, and travel for applicants

  • Administers and maintains Service Awards program for all locations

  • Reviews and updates HR content and policies on Company Intranet

  • Maintain compliance with Labor Law Posters for all locations

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff

  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and legal responsibilities

  • Assists with the development and updates of HR communications, company handbook, and job descriptions

  • Advises managers and supervisors about the steps of progressive discipline

  • Assists with employee wellness and health initiatives and other information

  • Assists employees with any HR related questions and concerns

  • Assists with performance management and improvement systems

  • Organizes and participates in Career Fairs to promote opportunities at Wagner

  • Teamwork and collaboration

  • Must be able to develop and maintain highly effective working relationships with all levels of the organization

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS systems; Ultimate Software experience preferred

  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management required

  • 4+ years’ experience working in Human Resources

  • 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience

  • 3-5 years customer service experience

Additional Eligibility Requirements:



  • Must pass all required pre-employment screenings which may include but are not limited to background checks, drug/alcohol testing, fit for duty testing, and any other job-related tests/screenings

 


Pay Range: $55,000.00- $75,000.00 annually
Pay rate is determined based upon education and experience
