This position provides group therapy on the Sibcy House and Williams House under the general direction of the Residential Clinical Manager. Also, faciliates individual coping skills coaching/individual therapy to residnetial patients.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts identified groups according to the program schedule and documents the client responses within the medical record.
Provides individual therapy sessions with patients, and as designated by the treatment team. Provides regular updates on patient/family dynamics and status during treatment team meetings. Therapy sessions may be provided face to face or via teleconference.
Attend treatment team meetings.
Demonstrates understanding of current therapeutic techniques and prioritizes the use of best and evidence-based practices.
Continuously participates in learning opportunities to expand inventory of intervention options. Applies learning & experience to patient care
Provides training for Sibcy House and Williams House employees.
Position Requirements
Masters' Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field required
Valid Ohio clinical license or working toward licensure.
A minimum of 2 years experience in the mental health field, specifically faciliating groups and family therapy.
Knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Ability to enthusiastically follow and model the Lindner Center of HOPE mission, vision and values
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate care for the spectrum of populations admitted to LCOH.
