Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Engineer Software. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
The selected engineer will work with the product team to develop software systems and tools, participate in technical reviews and provide customer support. This position includes:
• Software development using languages such as C, C++, or Java
• Ability to create new software from requirements
• Generation of applicable documentation, software user manuals and presentations
• Interfacing with customers, program management and technical staff
• Problem resolution and improvement recommendations
• Occasional travel to Northrop Grumman and Government locations within the United States
The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a TS, an active Secret is required to start.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.



Qualifications:




Basic Qualifications:

-2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters
- Web development experience
- Experience with one or more the following languages: Java, Javascript, SQL
- Active Top Secret clearance



Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience using and/or setting up a DevSecOps pipeline
• Familiarity with common source control tools (git, Mercurial, etc.) and automated build system workflows (Jenkins, Go, etc.)
• Exposure to the Agile methodology
• Familiarity with virtual machine technology
• Ability to understand secure / insecure programming concepts (format string vulnerabilities, heap overflows, etc.)
• Experience with U/X design
• Active Top Secret security clearance
Salary Ranges Minimum $ 74,240
Salary Maximum $111,360
