Behavior Specialist I – Mental Health Agency with great training opportunities

TBS services offered in High Desert, Mountain, and Central San Bernardino areas.

Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) are available for eligible children who need short-term behavioral support in addition to any other mental health services they are receiving. TBS’s goal is to help children avoid being placed in a higher level of care such as a residential treatment facility or to help children make a successful move to a lower level of care such as returning home after residential treatment.

The Position : We are looking for a full time Behavior Specialist in San Bernardino!

Salary Range: $14.92-$20.14

Actual offers will be determined by the candidate’s creditable years of experience in conjunction with internal equity considerations and based on the organization’s current compensation practices.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/ BS) in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Education or related field.

  • Program Requires

    • Minium of two (2) years of experience working with children who are Serious Emotionally Disturbed (SED) and their families required.

Responsibilities:


  • Under direct supervision, develops and implements positive behavior supports and intervention strategies to address significant behavioral problems for youth and their families/caregivers in a variety of environments.

  • Works collaboratively with others on the clinical team to support creation and implementation of stabilization and service plans.

  • Works independently with youth and or families in a variety of settings including homes, community, and/or treatment settings.
