Manager Treasury - Liquidity Management and Stress Testing at Prudential Ins Co of America

Job Description:

Prudential’s Treasury Liquidity Management and Stress Testing group has responsibility for:


  • Liquidity management, measurement, monitoring, and reporting

  • Liquidity planning

  • Liquidity stress testing

  • Liquidity Contingency Plans

This role will focus on conducting, developing, and reporting liquidity stress testing for the Enterprise.  This includes conducting stress testing across major legal entities for activities with potential for liquidity demands (derivatives, insurance stresses, securities lending, and capital market activities).  The candidate will be expected to challenge the status quo by analyzing data, ensuring appropriateness of the stress test assumptions and methodologies, and proposing new assumptions and methodologies where appropriate. 

The candidate will report to a Director in the Stress Testing team and will have the opportunity to interact with many functional areas of Prudential, including senior financial management.

Responsibilities:


  • Support liquidity stress testing process: acting as point-of-contact with extensive business partners, performing legal entity and holding company aggregation, and facilitating analysis of results

  • Model and analyze data to support reporting and presenting stress testing results to various internal partners and senior management

  • Strengthen and document liquidity related processes and controls

  • Create new analytics and management reporting in Tableau

  • Support activities related to new regulatory liquidity requirements from NAIC and IAIS; develop new processes and implement as appropriate

  • Support development and enhancement of liquidity stress testing frameworks through collaboration with business unit partners, Operations & Systems, Risk Management, and CIO

  • Develop new Collateral Management dashboards and insights

  • Support the review and analysis of business transactions as part of the Centralized Collateral Management framework

  • Internal Audit, Model Risk, EUCS deliverables

  • Supervisory responsibility for one associate

Qualifications


  • At least 4-5 years of work experience in finance, accounting or treasury field preferred, including some management experience

  • MBA or CFA a plus

  • Knowledge of liquidity, funding, and collateral management is highly desired

  • Strong project management skills 

  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment 

  • Team player, but ability to be productive independently

  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of senior management 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of advanced Excel functionality for use in model enhancements and data analysis

  • Working knowledge of Tableau

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint
