Marketing Intern

Our Marketing Intern positions will be a hybrid position. It will involve working in person in Columbia, Maryland and remotely. In addition, the hours are 24 to 32 hours a week.

About The Job

Our Marketing Intern will represent the company in a friendly,
professional and courteous manner at all times. If you are the chosen
candidate, you will assist and execute strategic media and
community relations for Sandy Spring Bank to help build a powerful brand that
is well understood by the Greater Washington and Baltimore markets.

Areas of Focus:

• Corporate social media experience: scheduling and draft social media posts


• Corporate Giving: help out with strategic giving requests


• Online customer management: help respond to online reviews


• Competitor research and analysis: research what other brands/FIs are doing on social media/media space and website competitor research, and make recommendations for SSB


• Event Management: Help assist with bank sponsored events this summer


• Experience working with our public relations agency and potentially have some experience working with our advertising and media buying agency

Required Skills:

• Position prefersworking towards a two to four years degree
  of college in either Marketing, finance, business, or a related field.


• Social media savvy (including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)


• Strong written and verbal communications


• Experience with Microsoft suite


• Passion for creativity with a focus on details for effective execution


• Project management experience


• Comfort with technology and digital


• Interest in learning
