Job Description:

The Consumer Products Product Portfolio Leader reports directly to the VP of Revenue and Customer Success and is responsible for managing the strategy and providing guidance to the cross-functional execution of strategy for the Consumer Products market. This role is a subject matter expert who will be proxy for both product management as well as supporting the GTM teams with content and expertise. The role is customer facing and will be seen as a thought leader in the space of Consumer Solutions. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and operationally focused.

This role requires previous experience with large scale retail consumer (shopper) personalization technology and products and the supporting ecosystem of vendors and manufacturers who support the implementation of broader retail personalization and loyalty programs. This role also requires a creative thinker and a self-starter attitude to explore commercial opportunities to further develop consumer solutions for our extensive retail customer base, while always aligning with the Appriss Retail objective of 'Knowledge For Good' in our solution portfolio.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Direct the product strategy of Appriss Retail consumer product(s)

    • Ensure Incent meets Retailer expectations and stays relevant to market needs

    • Evolve Engage, the broader returns experience solution to include online (ecommerce) and offline (instore) transactions for multichannel consumers



  • Support and help drive the innovation process at Appriss Retail to further develop ideas to solve retail consumer challenges through technology and data solutions for both retailers and national brands (CPG's and manufacturers)

    • Enhance innovation ideas with new, unique capabilities

    • Work to bring data partnership solutions to existing retail customers / prospects as appropriate



  • Partner with the Data Science Team to evolve ideas from data insights within both our existing and new solutions.

  • Own the consumer omnichannel proposition, especially with retailers and be the voice of Appriss Retail at trade shows, industry events and publications

  • Directly influence the design, quality, testing, and distribution as the product(s) move through their lifecycle, including modification and evaluation of results and impact and formulate and execute long-term plans for appropriate pricing, cost & profit control.

  • Support the Go-to-Market/GTM (Marketing, Sales, Success) teams

    • In conjunction with marketing

      • Drive brand awareness across and credibility in new consumer and retail insights markets globally

      • Create compelling retailer presentation pitches to substantiate Appriss Retail's ability to deliver existing consumer products (Engage multi-touch point omnichannel ecosystem delivering consumer value on purchases, returns across both online and offline transactions) and future consumer products

      • Develop compelling reasons-to-believe awareness to accelerate adoption of emerging consumer product(s)



    • In conjunction with Sales and Success

      • Help drive adoption of our existing and new consumer product(s) by supporting Sales in both cross-sell and new opportunities to meet business unit revenue goals

      • Act as a SME on consumer solutions product(s) sales





  • Working with cross functional teams to ensure our offering is fit for purpose and strategically competitive

  • Broad knowledge of all Appriss Retail products and services.

  • Ability to travel required.

  • 10+ years Consumer Products experience in the Retail Industry, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
