Job Description:


Vector Security Networks is hiring a Product Director for our Managed Network Services business.  As one with deep domain expertise in networking technologies and managed network services, you will lead product evaluation, vendor strategy, sales support, and ongoing management activities related to network solutions. You will align the company’s offerings with its strategies, maintaining a compelling, differentiated, and competitive portfolio that drives profitable growth. You will solve customer business challenges, working collaboratively with cross functional teams to better leverage existing capabilities, and develop business cases for new products and services.


Main Responsibilities:



  • Curate, manage and support product platforms and services by leveraging market research, vendor and customer engagement, business strategies, and other inputs as appropriate. Partner with relevant stakeholders to improve the quality, competitiveness, and profitability of existing RMR-based services.

  • Identify & create strategic new growth opportunities from ideation to infancy of productization and adoption by the marketing and sales organizations, measured by accelerating profitable revenue growth in the MNS business unit. Recognize promising ideas and emerging trends and distill those into salient, thoughtful new business cases. Evaluate new solutions in partnership with relevant departments and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on progress, roadmaps, and results.

  • Act as the SME for network products and services, both internally and externally. Lead customer technology sessions, webinars, brainstorming sessions, and similar. Develop and launch internal promotions and training in partnership with marketing and other teams. Participate in industry webinars, trade shows, and customer events. Contribute content regularly for use by employees and in public campaigns. Stay current with market and competitive intelligence and share with relevant teams.

  • Strategize with corporate, procurement, sales and product teams to maximize the use of preferred products and existing services. Provide support for vendor management activities, including performance and pricing reviews, contract negotiation, training, and strategy/roadmaps. Follow and incorporate feedback from all sources, analyze the success of new offerings, and evolve existing offerings as necessary to meet new/changing customer and market requirements.

Required

  • Extensive knowledge of networks, services, technologies and related applications, including:
    • LAN/WAN architecture
    • Broadband providers and services
    • NOC and SOC platforms and services
    • Wi-Fi design and managed services
    • MSSP services
    • CPE installation, configuration, and management
    • VPN solutions
    • SD-WAN
    • VoIP / UCaaS
    • Field service and troubleshooting techniques
    • Installation methods and best practices

  • Verifiable experience in successfully identifying, creating, and monetizing new solutions.

  • 5 - 8 years: Experience in a senior technology role with product decision-making authority.
