Summary of Responsibilities

The Billing Associate will beresponsible for billing activities to ensure efficient and economical operation in providing accurate and timely customer invoices. Ensures the calculation of accurate billable charges and prepares final invoices. Conducts the on-going review of bill processing procedures, and seeks opportunities to make cost-effective improvements.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Processes daily invoicing into tracking/reporting system


• Billing customer freight charges


• Process invoices to customers via customer portals


• Researches and adjusts invoice discrepancies


• Maintains customer records and responds to general inquiries


• Compiles documentation and verifies pricing accuracy


• Research and resolve customer billing issues


• Performs miscellaneous billing duties as assigned


• Backup for Billing Supervisor

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required


• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility


• Abilitytoworkunder pressure andmeet critical deadlines


• Ability to multi-task


• During month-end close, may require some overtime


• Excellent customer service skills and phone manner


• Preferred qualifications include working knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, and reporting of financial data
