Otter Products is currently recruiting for Material Runners to join our Distribution Center team! As a Material Runner, you will ensure the configuration to order lines and process moves seamlessly. Intrigued? Keep reading...

The Material Runner provides set-up on builds and gauges when an assembly table is ready for new material. The Material Runner handles competing priorities in the configuration lines to ensure production needs and deadlines are met.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the manufacturing process, a focus on safety in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and Otter Products protocols, and possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Especially important is the ability to stay on schedule and keep track of multiple projects, functions, shifts, and individuals with limited supervision or direction. Does this sound like you? Responsibilities

    Set-up configuration order to established specifications
  • Restock configuration lines

  • Clean up and tear down configuration lines

  • Effectively lead and align given resources to meet configuration to order line needs

  • Have material ready for builds

  • Ability to function under pressure and keep track of multiple activities simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment

  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications


  • High School diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred

  • Pervious experience in a consumer goods distribution center or warehouse setting is required

  • Experience with reading, interpreting and following basic manufacturing documents and processes including, but not limited to Material Orders (MO's), Bill of Materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and work instructions is preferred

  • Experience using a floor jack and safety knife following established safety guidelines is strongly preferred
