Cardno is currently hiring for a Civil Engineer or Civil Engineer-in-training, to support our Engineering Design Services group. This position will be directly supervised by a Licensed Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to interpret project plans and specifications, assist with preparation of projects/construction plans and specifications, perform project inspections, document inspections with field notes, work as part of a team ensuring project and field objectives are met, and exhibit positive client/public relations in the office and in the field.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

> Preparation of Construction Documents, Concept Plans, Technical Specifications, and permitting submittal packages

> Obtaining, maintaining, and organizing support data for project design

> Performing thorough due diligence and site investigation studies

> Assisting in Engineering design of: Grading and proper drainage, Stormwater Management Facilities and Stormwater Conveyance Systems, Utility systems, including but not limited to sanitary sewer and water, Erosion and Sedimentation Controlcalculations and best management practices, Hydrology and hydraulics calculations and studies

> Preparation of cost opinions and quantity take-offs

> Assisting Project Manager with permitting submittals and obtaining jurisdictional approvals

> Preparing technical memos/letters for design documents

> Assisting in post-design/construction services (CA) including bulletin drawing preparation and site observations

Basic Qualifications:

> 0 - 4 years of relevant experience in Land Development/Site Civil Engineering design

> B.S. in Civil Engineering (preferred)

> Possess EI certification with ability and desire to obtain PE license within 3-5 years

> Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

> Knowledge of Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering Software is a plus
