Scheduling and facilities planning for commercial projects. Coordinating with Program Managers and customers while monitoring the schedule throughout the project. Communicating and working with Department Managers, Engineers, Sales and Technicians to solve issues and making adjustments to the schedule as required. Maintaining Vlab accuracy to reflect real-time and projected testing to ensure project completion and report delivery as promised.
Job Responsibilities:
Run reports in VLab daily to check for projects in "schedule" and "planning" in order to schedule projects that are ready and plan asset needs for upcoming projects
Assign equipment and manpower to testing while accounting for equipment capabilities and employee training
Adjust schedules in the event of equipment failure, customer delays, illness, etc.
Ensure Changes of Scope are initiated when needed for additional testing
Schedule coordination across departments for uninterrupted testing
Communication of the program's progress between management, engineers, technicians and customers
Review data for release to the writing team. Report tracking for on-time delivery. Report and procedure writing. Report and procedure reviews for consistency and clarity
Kick off meetings and evaluation of testing requirements for a seamless program
Manage promised delivery dates and communication with customer on needs and expectations
Job Requirements:
Works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Manage multiple projects concurrently
Effective communication skills
Expert computer skills with internet, Microsoft Office, Adobe
Ability to read and understand quotes, SOWs and standards
Management of personnel and resources
Knowledge of EMI, Environmental and Dynamics testing and practices
Excellent organization skills
Work schedule flexibility and frequent overtime
Ability to arrange and rearrange schedules and personnel according to testing needs, job and asset assignment
Capable of day-today management of employees including mentoring, coaching, hiring/firing, discipline, performance review, time-off requests, etc.
Education and Experience:
HS Diploma required; college degree preferred but not required; APICS certification preferred but not required
5+ years of experience in technical environment and scheduling
Technical testing experience
Management experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises
