Location: Chicago, Illinois
The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, is searching for a full-time faculty member who will serve as Medical Director of the Lung Transplant program. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and prior academic achievements. The appointee will dedicate significant time in outreach efforts to grow the lung transplant program. Clinical responsibilities include both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in lung transplantation. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board Certified or Eligible in pulmonary and critical care medicine, 4) have training in lung transplant, and 5) be able to perform outpatient procedures including bronchoscopies.
