Product Returns Tech II at Merz North America Inc

Job Description:

Support the day-to-day activities for processing returned Merz and OEM product.  Perform and/or assist with tasks associated with the inspection and/or testing of components, subassemblies and finished goods as needed.  Assist with tasks related to the activities associated with operation of Merz’s Quality System and as directed by the Quality Operations Supervisor or other QC departmental lead personnel.

Hours 7:00AM - 4:00PM M-F

Key Responsibilities 

 


  1. Coordinate product returns and facilitate documentation for product returns including customer complaints and any recalled product (as applicable) for products from all Merz Divisions.

  2. Support incoming inspection for third party manufactured products for all Merz Divisions.

  3. Follow instructions by supervisor or manager regarding priorities, work schedule and other assignments including cross training or working in other departments. 

  4. Conduct manufacturing line clearances and verifications of in-process and final product.

  5. Initiate Non-Conformance and CAPA investigations.

  6. Consistently use the Quality System Standards, Quality System Regulations, and other company procedures around which the Quality System is developed.

  7. Support the work associated with non-production related QC/Manufacturing studies as required.

  8. Assist other Quality Control/Quality Assurance personnel as required.

  9. Maintain a safe work environment by following good housekeeping and company guidelines for safety; ability to use tools and equipment safely. 

  10. Record all inventory transactions accurately through computer system and/or other required methods. 

  11. Participate in training activities to develop, maintain and improve job skills. 

Education


  • High School Diploma required

  • Associate’s Degree

Professional experience


  • AS + 4 years’ Experience or Equivalent Experience Required

Knowledge, skills and abilities (incl. languages)


  • Operate Personal Computer, copying machines, printers and scanners

Knowledge or methods


  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of documentation, records management, and change control for Quality System requirements in support of GxP regulations.

Personal skills


  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments

  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment
