What you will do

The Director Vertical Market Technology position is part of our Building Technology & Solutions business at Johnson Controls. We are creating ?Smart Buildings? for our customers throughout the world. Due to our growth, we are adding this Director level position to our team. Direct our technology sales and pre-sales engineering teams on Healthcare vertical market projects. Must live in the US to travel to customer locations and meet teams as needed. Exciting time to join our growing technology team.

Under general direction, you will provide leadership to manage the specified technology vertical market solutions sales efforts, activities, and results across our Building Technologies & Solutions, North America business (BSNA). You will develop and execute technology sales strategies, covering technology buyers, processes, tools to achieve technology vertical market sales objectives.  You will work to execute plans to meet BSNAs profitability, growth, market penetration, and customer satisfaction objectives.

How you will do it


  • Collaborates with targeted channels sales functions to develop a technology vertical market strategy.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the Specified Technology Market and educates the targeted channel sales organization on selling technology in the Specified industry.

  • Responsible to deliver the results of the North American Specified Technology market business plan for all lines of businesses. Leads targets channels management in the development of the Specified Technology market strategic plan component and annual sales plan.

  • Develops and defines the technology value proposition using knowledge acquired through in-depth research and continuous analysis of the customer, key buying influences, the industry, market conditions, competitor strategy, technology and product offerings, and pricing and costs.

  • Develops, communicates, and champions the global marketing strategy for technology solutions sales to the Specified Technology vertical market and identifies priority customer segments

  • Insures that Targeted channels are engaged in consistent processes to assess area Specified Technology market sales performance; including the measurement of individual selling skills, and training inventory.

  • Responsible for sales training programs and their effectiveness.

  • Responsible for measuring and assessing the effectiveness of Specified Technology market sales training and the development of appropriate training based on the skills of the targeted channels.

  • Defines, develops, and deploys the sales process required to sell to the appropriate Technology Vertical market segment and oversees the development of appropriate systems, tools and training to ensure consistency with customer needs and business requirements

  • Identifies and supports new market opportunities for specified technology market sales. Serves as primary link between the targeted channels and specified marketing.

  • Responsible to identify requirements and assign priorities to assist in the development of products, solutions, programs, tools, and support requirements. Facilitates communication and ?best practices? between targeted channels.

What we look for

Required

?Minimum of 10 years progressive technical solutions sales experience and sales leadership

?Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

?Minimum ten years of experience selling in the Healthcare markets with demonstrated results.

?Demonstrated knowledge of Smart Buildings technology, company products, & services, sales tools and processes

Preferred

MBA preferred.
