What you will do

As the Business Intelligence and Transformation Lead within the Johnson Controls BMS, Global Products Operations, Integrated Business Planning team, you will be responsible for developing effective analytics and decision science capabilities which to drive strategic decision making across our supply chain.  This position requires a creative problem solver with attention to the details who will build out digital solutions to unlock productivity within our business. The Business Intelligence and Transformation Lead will be responsible for working across the business to understand the problem, identify the solution, and execute on bringing the solution to life.

How you will do it


  • Be the analytical expert on the BMS Operations team, managing ambiguous problems by using data and advanced modelling, deliver actionable insights.

  • Provide thought leadership to identify, develop, and implement increasingly effective analytics and decision science capabilities to optimize overall supply chain processes.

  • Partner with Information Technology organization on digital transformation and business intelligence initiatives

  • Design and develop Business Intelligence visualization that combines multiple data sets to tell “data stories” related to the business’s top priorities

  • Evaluate current reporting processes across business units and drive implementation of best practices across the organization while driving continuous improvement along the way

  • Develop and support additional projects and strategies for new tools and processes that can improve operating efficiencies for key operational metrics

What we look for

Required


  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, the physical sciences, computer science, or similar field with quantitative rigor

  • 5 years’ experience using applied analytics, statistics and/or data science to solve large, complex, time sensitive business problems

  • 3 years’ experience building dashboards using data visualizations with tools such as SQL, Tableau,  Power BI, and or SAS.

Preferred


  • Knowledge and experience working within a global manufacturing company

  • Applied business experience in Integrated Business Planning and or S&OP

  • Ability to understand and clarify business needs and develop processes that achieve business objectives

  • Demonstrated success in collaborating and influencing cross functional teams on business decisions

  • Database experience and proficiency with standard finance systems (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, etc.), and manipulating large data sets leveraging various formulas.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to understand and present the “big picture" to leadership

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills across cultures

  • MBA or Advance Degree
