The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Business Administrator for the 3M Atlantic & Pacific (located in Puerto Rico), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Supporting US Atlantic and Pacific Branch (USAP) management, through financial reporting/analytics, business intelligence activities, strategic plan coordination, etc.

  • Working closely with USAP departmental heads in the administration of budgets (AdMerch & CAPEX), pricing execution & performance, incentive compensation programs, customer data maintenance, etc.

  • Serve as the primary point for contact for local Puerto Rico external legal counsel, government agencies, community members, service suppliers (fleet, insurance, freight/taxes, shipping, etc) as required.

  • Leading applicable local work processes and tools, such as facility crisis management planning, branch communications and policies, daily oversight of local general office / facility administration tasks, etc.

  • Designated USAP Lean Six Sigma leader, analyzing processes to identify inefficiencies / areas for improvement, proposing and implementing changes as well as designing clear operational guidelines to ensure performance consistency.

  • Local subject matter expert for legacy systems as well as for ongoing business transformation efforts

  • Handling internal and external non-routine/difficult inquires and special projects as assigned.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree/technical diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution  

  • Three (3) years of sales, marketing, finance and/or customer service experience in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Spanish and English fluency required for verbal and written communications

  • Current, Valid Driver’s license is required

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Ability to work independently and with a team

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Process improvement capabilities

Travel: May include minimal domestic travel

Relocation Assistance: Not authorized
