Job Description

Role Overview:

The primary purpose of this role is to support the execution of the digital manufacturing transformation strategy for Project Aurora. This role will be supporting the creation of the production environment for SAP S4 discrete manufacturing while driving the blueprint for Batch management and Track and Trace in the manufacturing environment from inbound materials to finished goods shipment from Mill Distribution Center.  They will be a member of a central team to advance systems, processes & capabilities to achieve a highly connected, operationally intelligent manufacturing environment across Kimberly-Clark’s global facilities.  Influential communication and the ability to strategically navigate at all levels of a diverse global organization are essential in this role. Key stakeholders include, but are not limited to: Senior Leadership, ITS, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory and Regional Mill and Logistics teams.  

Key Responsibilities:


  • Must have a strategic global mindset with the ability to dimension business case/value delivery out of qualitative, disparate data points within many layers of the organization.


  • Key leader in the development and implementation of a Global Digital Manufacturing vision and strategy, driving the design blueprint for batch management and track and trace  in the manufacturing environment from inbound materials to finished goods shipment from Mill Distribution Center  including all data relevant to history of KC product to enable track and trace to the selling unit.


  • Lead and coordinate regional and central resources through solution confirmation, build, test, and deployment of SAP S4 and adjacent systems (SAP GBP, SAP BI, WM, PLM, Complaint & Recall Management, Logistics and Transport systems) which support and enable transparent and real time generation, application and analysis of product genealogical data.


  • Lead and support the deployment of KC standardized digital manufacturing system (SAP GBP, SAP BI) across KC manufacturing sites.


  • Facilitate and/or lead the development of internal training and capability programs for emerging data and analytics systems, concepts, and tools. 


  • Develop methods to assess current state for product traceability and post-project progress for regions/mills. 


  • Work with the teams developing the supplier and customer collaboration platforms in Aurora to create the optimal fit for purpose design that supports the information requirements for batch management and track and trace.  


  • Support the use case development for the analytics needed for (but not limited to): RM quality and service management, product quality and release, OEE and ATS in relation to RM batch data.


  • Contribute to other Global Supply Chain strategies as needed to advance the organization.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, R&E, Finance, ITS or a related field from an accredited college or university.


  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant professional experience in which 3+ years in a manufacturing role.


  • Expertise and experience in digital system and software (SAP GBP, WM and QM).


  • Previously demonstrated ability to successfully lead the execution of a global, regional or functional strategic initiative with proven business results.


  • High interpersonal and communications skills to motivate, coach & lead a diverse group of team members.


  • Ability to adapt to changes in a dynamic and developing Kimberly-Clark domain.


  • General understanding of end-to-end supply chain interconnectivities relative to overall business implications.


  • Must be willing to travel approximately 20%, some of which is international.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Advanced degree from an accredited college/university.


  • Advanced statistical and analytical skills.


  • Proficient in SAP S4/HANA, Microsoft Office (advanced Excel), JMP (or like), Analysis for Office, Business Intelligence (BW/BEX) and Tableau.  


  • Competency with manufacturing systems and operational technologies: SAP GBP, SAP BI, SAP PLM, Warehouse Management, Quality Management.  Blockchain familiarity a plus.


  • Strong knowledge of internal supply chain metrics: OTIF, PPK, OEE, ATS.


  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification.


  • CI/Lean, Project Management and Change Management (CAP).


  • 2+ years of experience in a Consumer/Professional business unit.
