We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our North Salt Lake City, Utah location!  

 

 

Our Quality Assurance Technicians are essential to our success. You will operate equipment and prepare items for distribution. You will work alongside a team of production workers to ensure our products are produced at the optimal level. You will physically operate an extrusion line in a way that ensures all products are produced free from cosmetic and physical defects and are within manufacturing tolerance. You are responsible for the quality of the product run and adjusts/documents operating conditions to produce the highest attainable quality of pipe in a safe and efficient manner.

Shift: Night Shift: 5pm-5am (Will train for two weeks during the day) 

 

 

Pay Rate: $21.22 with a dollar differential when you start on night shift.  

 

 

This is what you’ll do:  



  • Inspect product during the extrusion process using calipers, micrometers, pi tape, weight scale 





  • Compare product with customer specifications 




  • Make decision on product status, mark type of defect 




  • Document information on work order 




  • Inspect and tag reels 




  • Test incoming raw material and conduit, and record date 





  • Operate diagnostic equipment needed to perform job 




  • Maintain neat and orderly work area 




  • Follow all safety requirements 




  • Perform all other duties as assigned or required 



 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 



  • High School diploma or GED 




  • Minimum one year experience in quality/inspection procedures 




  • Computer proficiency 



 

OCCUPATIONAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 



  • Ability to learn and use laboratory and inspection equipment 




  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 





  • Ability to recognize color spectrum 




  • Fully mobile from one manufacturing area to another 




  • Able to step over and/or bend under objects 




  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds 




  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and nights 



 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 



  • Work in manufacturing environment and inside quality control laboratory
