About the role


In order to help Cochlear continue to grow and service our customers, we are recruiting for a Staff Accountant I in our Americas head office based in Lone Tree, CO.


To be successful in this role you'll be able to you'll work collaboratively with a including Sales Operations, ProCare & Recipient Services, Logistics and other accounting team members to assist in the completion of key tasks, such as: inventory management, returns, billings, and reporting; completion of related inventory journal entries and reconciliations; upgrade reporting; as well as assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements, vendor management and other ad hoc reporting requests.


Key Responsibilities



  • Process return material authorizations (RMA) and any related billing of backup inventory, consignment, or field stock

  • Maintain close working relationships with customer service, receiving team, and field representatives in Cochlear product return and management, including tracking reschedule cases and upholding the current return policy

  • Process credits and inventory write-offs on approved cases

  • Complete entry level journal entries and reconciliations monthly

  • Complete monthly upgrade reporting, upgrade presentation slides, and inventory slides

  • Complete vendor management setups, including maintenance of W9s and ACH Forms, and supporting PO related questions

  • Produce ad-hoc or requested reports on these areas to help customer service, marketing, sales operations, and the field drive business and understand results.


Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration

  • Proficient knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel for extracting and analyzing financial data
