Primary Role



Effective leader that builds, develops, and drives teams to support the achievement of Company goals and objectives. Supports Treasurer in overseeing all Treasury related functions, including Short-Term Financing, Long-Term Financing, Cash Operations, Cash Flows, Liquidity, Working Capital Management, Dividends, and overall Capital Structure management and strategy. Works with the CFO, Treasurer, FP&A, Operating Company Leadership to develop and execute the Company financing plans in alignment with Company growth objectives, capital needs (primarily regulated utility infrastructure investments and acquisitions), liquidity and overall capital structure targets.  Effectively coordinates development of financing plans with regulated and market-based business operating company finance teams. Develops and maintains strong relationships with banking partners and credit rating agencies.  Provides effective rate case support for regulated business segment.  Responsible for coordinating monthly/quarterly Treasury accounting, reporting, and control activities (SOX) in support of the company’s quarterly and annual SEC filings.  Supports efforts to drive continuous improvements in process and use of technology across all Treasury related functions to drive efficiencies and to better serve our customers. May assist the Treasurer with other Treasury related functions including Insurance & Risk Management, Investment Oversight of Employee Benefit Plans, etc.

  • Effective leadership and oversight over Treasury Related functions

  • Supports development and execution of Short-Term and Long-Term financing plans

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investment and corporate banking partners and credit rating agencies

  • Acquisition support including financing strategies

  • Oversight of Cash Operations, Cash Flow Reporting, Liquidity and Working Capital Management, Dividends, Debt Covenant

  • Compliance, and overall Capital Structure Management

  • Effectively support operating companies and business functions through effective coordination and collaboration

  • Provide effective financing strategy and treasury operations support to Operating Companies

  • Monthly/Quarterly Accounting, Reporting, Control Activities (SEC/SOX Reporting)

  • Quarterly Board Presentations




Knowledge/Skills




  • Effective Leadership Skills including team building and professional development

  • Core Treasury Functions, Cash/Liquidity Management, Short- & Long-Term Financing

  • General accounting, reporting, controls, SEC experience preferred

  • Budgeting/Strategic Planning experience

  • Capital Markets experience




Experience/Education




  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or related areas. MBA preferred.

  • Minimum ten (10) years prior Corporate Treasury or similar Corporate Finance experience required.

  • Certified Treasury Professional or CPA preferred.

  • Regulated Utility experience preferred.

  • Certified Treasury Professional or CPA preferred
