The Document and Data Control Associate I (DDCA I) assists the Sr. Documentation and Data Control Specialist to ensure QMS documentation of KARL STORZ Endoscopy America-El Segundo (KSEA-ES) is effectively implemented, controlled, maintained, stored, archived, protected and retrievable. The DDCA I tasks include administration and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure an effective Employee Training Program.


Key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:


Effectively coordinates document change activities and their approval in a timely manner;

Updates, maintains and distributes controlled documents according to quality, regulatory and KARL STORZ (KS) Global QMS requirements;

Coordinates the distribution of updated KSEA-ES and KS global documents to other sites in North America (NA), and ensures new and revised documents and forms are available at points-of-use;

Serves as support and backup for LMS program administration;

Develops and maintains open communication with all contacts across the KS sites in NA;

Interfaces effectively with NA sites' management and global team members, when necessary;

Demonstrates commitment to serving and communicating with others to create a welcoming environment for KSEA-ES employees and our customers;

Protects employee and customer confidentiality; and

Performs other duties consistent with the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department as assigned.


II. Minimum Knowledge, Education and Skill Requirements



Required


Minimum years of relevant work experience:

1 year relevant work experience


Minimum education, certifications and/or credentials:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum hard skill requirements (including computer and application proficiency):

Strong computer skills, able to work effectively with word processing, spreadsheets and document controls software, templates and forms, and able to work at a computer for extended periods of time


Minimum soft skill requirements:

Capable of maintaining respectful and productive working relationships with co-workers and other professionals, including KARL STORZ management, customers and consultants;

Proven and effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to express ideas clearly (both written and verbally) to a wide variety of personnel at various levels, as well as personnel at other facilities for which English may not be a first language; and

Verified compliance to attendance, punctuality and safety guidelines, and ability to work hours as assigned.


Preferred

Preferred years of relevant work experience:

3 years relevant work experience


Preferred education, certifications and/or credentials:

HS education, technical certifications


Preferred hard skill requirements:

Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills


Preferred soft skill requirements:

Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-task and perform work accurately involving many complex tasks
