Performs the receiving functions, compiles and maintains material and parts inventory and status information to expedite the movement of material and parts between warehouse areas. Assures proper segregation of material in the warehouse space.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInclude the following:


  1. Performs the receiving function for incoming materials and products. Facilitates the movement of products and/or materials involving third-party logistics providers. Ensures material and product maintain an appropriate flow through the warehouse and production areas.

  2. Documents incoming materials and supplies. Examines materials received, verifies part numbers, check discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.

  3. Performs general departmental duties such as maintaining supplies, inventory levels, and other general "housekeeping" tasks.

  4. Supports outbound logistics activities by packaging according to requirements, affixing shipping labels for identification, and verifying shipping information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. This can include pre-transport preparation of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.

  5. Assists as needed with staging and transferring materials for production operations from the warehouse to manufacturing in accordance with the production schedule. Ensures material and product maintain an appropriate flow through the warehouse and production areas. Maintains inventory accuracy by ensuring that all material movements (warehouse to manufacturing, manufacturing to warehouse, etc.) are properly reflected in SAP.

  7. Other relevant duties as assigned and needed by their Manager.

  • Knowledge of and skill in using computer software, including SAP, Microsoft products, and the Internet.
  • Knowledge of International Logistics, basic Accounting Principles, and basic Algebra; ability to apply these to daily routine functions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business literature, technical processes, and regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information in a group setting and respond to inquiries of managers, co-workers, clients, and customers.
  • Knowledge of general purchasing requirements; understanding material requirements needed for the overall operation of the business.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) manufacturing processes and methods for cost reduction, quality improvements, and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and local safety guidelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and establish short and long-term planning horizons to complete these duties.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team to accomplish deadlines and objectives yet make independent decisions on various tasks.
  • Knowledge of cGMP guidelines as well as international regulations pertaining to the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and drug products,
  • Ability to manage or prepare shipping/movements of products, and prepares outgoing materials, products,and/or supplies for shipment by packaging according to requirements.


This position will report to the Frederick, CO site and does not have the option to work remotely.

The salary range for this position in Frederick, CO is currently $45,200-$70,625.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from college or technical school; or 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Haz-Waste Handling / DOT/ IATA Certification is required.
