We are seeking a data-driven and deeply analytical individual with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for getting into the weeds. This role will work cross-functionally with members of Operations, Product, Client Services, Project Management & Sales and will be empowered to have a direct and material impact on profitability.

Responsibilities:


  • Build audience segments using a variety of data management platforms, combining proprietary 1st party data and 3rd party data to meet client needs

  • Maximize profit margins by ensuring every segment is created with an eye towards both inventory clearance and cost efficiency

  • Serve as the go-to expert for all audience segment creation requests, providing both strategic and tactical direction on achieving client needs

  • Provide overall rate card guidance at the product level as well as reviewing individual campaign profitability analysis

  • Understand the dynamics of the relationship with each sales team and their go-to-market approach for audience-based deals

  • Onboard custom 2nd party data lists from clients for deal targeting

  • Create rigorous process around rate card enforcement and approval escalations

  • Negotiate with partners to secure new inventory for digital campaigns

  • Interact with Sales and Client Services teams at all levels for Cheddar, a4 Local/ National and NY Interconnect

  • Manage vendor relationships and get involved in platform pricing negotiations

  • Work with Ad systems team to ensure all technology platforms allow for real-time decisions to be made with confidence in the integrity of data being leveraged

  • Clearly document all processes, rate card changes, SLAs and approval escalations as they continue to develop

  • Month-end reconciliation of data partner usage





  • Minimum 4 years experience in digital ad operations at a publisher, ad tech company, ad agency or ad network

  • Clear, strategic thinker with the ability to execute on priorities and is not afraid to roll sleeves up

  • Solid understanding of profit margins and digital inventory procurement

  • Experience with pricing and rate card management

  • Make firm decisions and stand behind them with conviction, using data as the cornerstone; comfortable saying "no" when required

  • Highly analytical; ability to aggregate data from multiple sources and compile it into a digestible and actionable format

  • Ability to effectively work under pressure and passion for problem-solving

  • Experience with digital display and video ad formats on all platforms: web, mobile, app and OTT/ CTV platforms

  • Best-Practice knowledge of working with DSPs, SSPs, and different type of deal types (PG, Open, PMP)

  • Knowledge of Data Management platforms (Liveramp, Experian) a plus

  • Experience with and enthusiasm for an organization experiencing rapid growth and diversification...but is still a little scrappy
