Job Description



WANTED: A Strike Group Interoperability Training Representative (SGITR) Support Senior Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Carrier Strike Group FOUR (CSG-4) in Norfolk, VA or San Diego, CA.

As an SGITR Subject Matter Expert you will:


  • Provide support to various groups within the United Stats Navy

  • Work with team to define and implement best practices

A week in the life of a SGITR Subject Matter Expert:


  • Identify potential shortfalls, locality based support conflicts and provide recommendations based on participating unit demonstrated proficiencies and FRTP deployment priority.

  • Board (daily for in-port events) or embark (for underway events) designated ship(s) to observe, analyze and assess JICO/ICO shipboard MTN implementation, management and monitoring along with COP/CTP interface management procedures and operations to identify any shortfalls, inefficiencies and/or areas of improvement.

  • Provide current, accurate and complete real time feedback identifying technical issues and operational compliance with approved MTA/MTN/COP/CTP plans, C2 system procedures.

  • Observe, analyze and assess system integration/interoperability troubleshooting and provide trouble isolation guidance, resolution feedback and mitigation recommendations that will ensure training objectives are met.

  • Provide inputs to daily event hot-wash meetings and submit AAR detailing major functional area observational evaluations, technical issues and feedback recommendations and lessons learned.

  • Attend meetings, conferences and teleconferences as required. During these meetings, conferences and teleconferences provide technical guidance support and when required provide a brief with a question and answer session.

  • Prepare any and all required documentation and/or support materials prior such meetings, conferences and teleconferences to ensure the information effectively communicated and successfully received by the intended audience.

Job Requirements




  • Bachelors Degree

  • Active Secret Clearance

At least 8+ years of experience in:


  • Developing training curriculums

  • Conducting fleet/ joint training assessments to identify gaps, training needs and solutions.

  • Delivering training in person and/or online.

  • Developing and modifying Warfare training event/exercise scenarios.

  • Managing training projects.

  • Naval Team and/or project leaders.

  • Designing custom training to meet training objectives.

At least 3+ years of experience in:


  • Military Training Agreement planning and operations.

  • Military Training Network and system support.

  • Process and development, Distributed Engineer and Joint Distributed Engineering Plant (DEP/JDEP).

  • JICO joint theater operations, Strike Group or training staff operations.

  • TDL system configuration and operation, GCCS-M operational, TDL architecture planning, TDL system integration and interoperability, TDL monitoring, ICO, common data link management system utilization.
