Job Description
Candidates must have the ability to work with manufacturing clients to identify solutions, select technology, estimate work, architect systems, develop software, help to manage project scope, schedule, and budget, and deliver projects successfully.
Candidates must have the ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative environment.
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), IIoT, Digital Transformation, and Smart Manufacturing Systems is a must.
C#, Javascript, and others with experience / knowledge needed in MS SQL database design and queries, JSON, Python, and a big plus would be experience with either Parsec’s TrakSYS platform or Aveva / Wonderware’s MES and Workflow products.
Ideal candidate would have experience in one or more of the following technologies:
Rockwell MES component software; FTMetrics, ThingWorx, FTHistorian, FTAnalytics, etc.
OSIsoft PI
Aveva/Wonderware MES/MOM solutions
Inductive Automation Ignition and Sepasoft MES suite
Parsec TrakSYS software
Microsoft Technologies - SQL, SSRS, C#, PowerBI
The specific focus is on web development and programming
Working in Virtualized environments a must.
Experience with remote connectivity and configuration of customer systems.
Experience with onsite troubleshooting, checkout, and implementation.
Experience with ERP interface requirements and connectivity a plus.
Plant floor and manufacturing experience a plus.
Understanding of IT and OT networks and technologies a plus.
What to Expect
Ability to work independently from a home office structure with minimal day-to-day supervision and direction, while also working collaboratively and effectively with other team members.
Ability to provide the highest level of support while building strong relationships with our customers and partners.
Maintain a high degree of effective utilization of time and completing project work on schedule and on budget.
Support the Pre-Sales engagement in helping to identify, scope, and estimating opportunities.
Ability to architect, design, and execute project plans for Digital Transformation projects while accounting for risk and forecasting technical issues.
Ability to travel to various customer sites, primarily domestically, is required but some international travel may be required as well. Travel ranges in duration and frequency but typically around 25 to 30% travel per year would be expected, however, increased amounts of travel can be experienced at times based on opportunity and customer demands.
Ideal background and Requirements
The successful candidate would have a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with architecting, designing, programing, and implementing projects.
Application knowledge and experience specific to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), IIoT, Digital Transformation, and Smart Manufacturing Systems.
Experience in the Consumer Products and/or Food and Beverage Industries.
Willingness to travel and handle the demands of project work.
