As an Associate DevOps Engineer and member of the DevOps team, you will help create and maintain infrastructure that streamlines development and deployment strategies. You will be responsible for helping to scale our infrastructure with an ever-growing team of software developers and data scientists.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-orientated, organized and deadline driven. The candidate will also possess strong communication skills, a "roll your sleeves up" mentality and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Designing, implementing, and delivering automated software and infrastructure deployment to improve the security, availability, and reliability of our technology platform
Driving the DevOps team and other stakeholders toward automation and deployment best practices
Designing and maintaining a system of dev, test, and production environments within our cloud and in offsite compute environments
Implementing systems for monitoring, alerting, and budget management for cloud and remote infrastructure
Making recommendations on which tools to buy or build in all aspects of our server infrastructure stack
Taking on a broad set of no-frills infrastructure tasks, from Linux or Windows server administration, to cloud resource provisioning, to application monitoring
Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
Representing the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus
In order to be qualified for this role, youmust possessthe following:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
At least 1+ years of industry experience in DevOps or system administration experience
Demonstrated background in managing the build environment for a growing software engineering team
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with the following:
Supporting and maintaining MS Windows based disk images and Linux Docker containers
CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions
Supporting package management solutions such as Conan
Creating and maintaining installers using industry standard tools such as Bitrock
Building toolchains for CMake projects
Creating tools and scripts in Bash, PowerShell, Python or other languages as needed
Providing input on architectural design and supporting a growing team of software engineers
Taking initiative to become an expert in managing our technical stack, including AWS (EC2, Lambda)
Partnering with developers and participating in the development process
Continuously iterating and improving our systems
Creating documentation for supported systems and services
Familiarity with C++14 or newer
