Auto Transport Technician

Overview

We are growing and have full-time opportunities forInstaller/Fabricator Techniciansat our Phoenix location. We are a Cottrell, Kentucky Trailer, and Sun Country licensed dealership providing full support for auto haulers throughout the US and Canada. Twenty-five service bays, fabrication, body & paint, and a large parts department dedicated to trailer and AT equipment make us one of the busiest dealerships in the West.

In this role you play a big part in delivering on our customer commitment which is to gain customer loyalty by providing exceptional service and installing tow equipment sub frame and bodies on truck chassis.

Training for this position will be provided!

Responsibilities

Performs frame drilling, electronic, and hydraulic installation of towing equipment by performing the following duties.
• Measures distances with ruler to lay out work in body of truck.


• Drills holes and bolts metal framework and supports in place.


• Cuts, drills, and fits brackets, supports, covers, and fixtures from metal sheet, strap or bar stock.


• Bolts and screws control panels and assembled operating units to framework.


• Connects electrical wiring harnesses and cables.


• Installs lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, wall boxes, and terminal boards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


• Three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Welding/Fabrication/Hydraulic/ Electrical Automotive Wiring experience preferred & automotive technical experience is highly desired.


• Ability to stand, lean, bend, lift, and reach.


• Ability to work with various power tools & shop equipment.


• Work is done in an automotive shop environment
