Job Description:

Dow has an opportunity for a Turnaround Coordinator/Planner located in Seadrift, TX. This role provides technical leadership to improve and optimize the execution, duration, scheduling and resourcing of turnarounds. Supports both new and existing facilities. Works with the site turnaround leadership to develop and implement work processes and tools that will facilitate the optimization of all phases of Global Turnaround Methodology (GTM) in an effort to manage risks and reduce maintenance costs, while improving reliability. Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within job discipline.

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Develops and implements a detailed work process for effectively executing project execution risk analysis (PERA) specific to turnarounds which are leveraged regionally.

  • Implements new tools/technologies that allow for schedule compression and acceleration.

  • Develops and implements leading and lagging metrics that characterize the effectiveness and efficiency of the Site Turnaround organization. Metrics need to be highly visible, easily obtainable, and transparent to turnaround managers and key stakeholders.

  • Champions development of a site model that enables the use of optimization algorithms for turnaround frequency, duration and resource leveling.

  • Partners with Site Reliability team to identify strategic plants to charter projects for TA driver elimination or strategy options.

  • Utilizes Six Sigma to eliminate systemic defects with solutions that drive unparalleled performance.

  • Leverages work process improvements and new tools to the Global Maintenance Tech Center.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience (at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking) plus 2 years of relevant experience OR a minimum of a high school diploma/GED and at least 5 years of working experience with turnarounds.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
