Job Summary

We're looking to join forces with a seasoned Art Director who can be a leading force for creative concepting & visual design, focusing on the highest impact projects coming into the Studio. The ideal candidate will work to reinforce and evolve an established brand and digital design system, partnering with others to develop, influence and drive new solutions for both print & digital channels across all stages of the marketing funnel.

The Art Director Consultant will reportinto the Senior Manager of Design Studio.

Responsibilities


  • Works on projects largely tied to high-priority company initiatives

  • Partners with Creative Strategist and marketing LOB partners to drive great creative briefs and solutions from those briefs

  • Identifies process and vendor improvements that help drive results across the team

  • Champions the brand identity and provides strategic point of view on brand identity issues

  • Ensures designs are effective, impactful, and on brand

  • This is a key role in moving the perception of the creative team as a more strategic competency

  • Leads creative vision for photo and video shoots, also providing supervision on set

  • Attends kick off meetings and provides design direction to other creative team members assigned

  • Helps drive design decisions with broad impact across the organization

  • Manages multiple projects with varying timelines consistently, working with on-site and remote teams

  • Delivers presentations of concepts and design work, supporting creative decisions with expert rationale and insight








Knowledge and Experience


  • Typically, requires a college degree or equivalent

  • Minimum 7years of prior relevant experience

  • Carefully curated portfolio, showcasing innovative concepts and thoughtful visual solutions

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, XD, After Effects)

  • Mastery of layout, typography, photography and color theory and how they function as a system to communicate clearly and define a brand

  • Excellent written and verbal skills - able to rationalize design decisions tied to key user/business goals, focusing on defined KPIs and a seamless UX

  • Is strategic in approach, enjoys thinking outside the box

  • Self-motivated creative contributor who also thrives in a team environment, collaborating with other creatives and business partners
